    Might be going to look at this 57 Dodge. Wondering what kind of engine I might find and if this car looks like its worth $500.
    Thanks

    V6= 230

    V8= 325 Could be a Hemi or a Poly - I would grab it if either one!

    I'm crossing my fingers for a Hemi. I was hoping it might have one. I'm still waiting to hear back if it even still has an engine in it. I believe it does but he's gotta check. Its a bit over an hour away. If I go out there I gotta take pictures as supposedly he has a bunch of other stuff he's willing to sell.

    It is definitely a '56, and being a Royal, I don't think the 6 or the 270 was an option. It's definitely a V8 car judging by the badges, so it should either have a 315 poly or a 315 Hemi. The Hemi heads and exhaust manifolds can be swapped onto the 315 to make a Hemi if you can find a pair.

    This car will part out really well, the side trim, grilles, tail lights, dash parts, and all of that stuff would be pretty easy to sell on eBay, plus the s**** value, it should be pretty easy to double your money regardless of the motor, so I'd say go for it. If you want a Hemi, even the poly head 315 would be a good base to build off of, 241 and 270 heads will fit the 315 block and aren't that terribly hard to find or expensive.

    I'm a total ***** for fin era Mopars, but judging by the amount of front end damage, I would pretty much guarantee the frame is bent. If you found a donor car with a good frame, front clip, and windshield gl***, then you may as well just fix the donor car.

    I don't think it'd be a shame to part this one out, but what would be a shame is if it just sits there and either totally rots away or gets hauled off to the s**** yard without all of the good pieces getting saved.

    Straighten the frame. Here in Merced, (the lowest 'tech' city in the universe) there is a number of body shops that can straighten frames.
    We took a mid-'80s Chev pickup in to Freeman Body shop after removing the smashed front fenders, hood, core support, and inner fender wheel houses. Freeman did 3 pulls, and called us in the afternoon. $100, and it was excellent!
    New sheet metal and it was a good fix.
    Why do people want to R&R frames??? (last GTO I did that on paid 40 hours labor, and it took nearly 35 of that! Good money, but required 2 stalls and use of all the lifting equipment!)

    Conversely, finding a buyer for a repaired 4-door mid-'50s Mopar is dim speculation in these times...
