Hard to beat the GNRS. I've never been to the Detroit show, but that's probably the next one on my list.
I can certainly recommend the Lone Star Round Up and for a smaller, but exceptionally high caliber event, the Hot Rod Revolution (in 2 weeks). It's not that far from LA so c'mon!
I always wanted to got to Paso Robles, it's no more so i would like to go to the town it went to. I forget the new name.
That would be Santa Maria, about 1 hour south of Paso Robles on hwy 101. For rats28 question, I think the Lone Star Round-up is a great suggestion. Not too far form you, but enough of a road trip to make for a fun event and time to get there and back.
I would do Hershey, if you could call that a show. A lot depends on what you are into and what town you have friends and relatives in. Charlie Stephens
If you like traditional hot rods, nice swap meet, good music, good food then it is the Lone Star Roundup. The "side show" in Austin at night is pretty *****in' too.
As mentioned a dozen times before. Lonestar Roundup in Austin is a must go. Also highly recommend Cruising the Coast in Biloxi.
ive wanted to go to alot of these mentioned but the HEAT factor kills me.since my wreck in 05 i cant handle alot of sun and heat.so for me to go to any its got to be like up the end of may then hide for awile then start again in mid sept. dont leave me much does it.but im gonna try for more this comin yr.so if you see a old longhair guy with his face in the dirt just grab him by the feet and slid him under some shade.lol
Lone Star Roundup, KKOA in Salina, KS, or the Stray Kat 500 in Dewey, OK is a BIG show in a neat LITTLE town!!
Not a show per se, but Bonneville durring speedweek is a must show, if i was told only onw show a year, id goto bonneville over anything else.
Yep... Bonneville... from anywhere in the WORLD, it's worth the trip, and a MUST for anyone who calls themselves a Hot Rodder.
