just what i need....another project!lol i sold my 354 hemi powered 1950 merc 2 door project and took this low mile 51 stock all door in part trade. she's got 59,000 orig miles, orig interior , 3" rear blocks, ww radials, stock flatty, od, working radio.

i took the 57 caddy caps off and put 49 sombreros on , she needs to come down more in the rear.
does anyone have 4" blocks for sale?

i have a pair of nos gl*** packs from an old speed shop and chrome tips...now for dual exhaust job!

yes, id like to see pictures.. sounds like you made a great trade if its in as good as shape as it sounds.. on a side note i was in town today and saw a custom 53 chev today was driving still having body work done but this thing was radical.. i sure like kustoms, i guess the reason is because its such a fine line between sweet and yuck.

Click on the attachments area (the arrow next to it) after uploading the file. It'll bring down the list of photos you uploaded.
Then just click on the photo link and it'll put an attachment down in the box you type in. and viola

all I can say is WOW...! this certainly makes the case for 4-door sedans...
I love customs...but please don't remove all the chrome and primer it as another member on this forum did....the cance to own something as nice as this doesn't come around that often..

Nice score.... That's a great looking '51, regardless of the number of doors. Is there a reflector or something red on the hood ornament? Also, feel free to send those unwanted/undesirable '57 Cadillac hub caps, and I'll dispose of them properly.

Sweet Merc bro. Love the 51 all doors. Austin Texas's Kontinental ramrod El Jeffe's is my fave merc ever, an all door 51. A small pix and not a very good shot of it. Congrat's on your rig. ~sololobo~

That is one sweet Merc. Are the rear doors suicide from the factory?
If your ***le means anything i agree that you should make a bomba w/ it. as much chrome and accessories as possible and adjustable suspension. thumbs up.

Very nice, You may have to be careful how close the driveshaft gets to the tunnel at the back though. The driveshaft bottomed out all the time on the 51 I had with two inch blocks in the back so it's probably pretty close to bottoming out where it's at now on the four door.

pic 2-this is the car blanket my parents used in our 50 studebaker when i was about 5 yrs old(53 yrs ago) and the factory mercury accessory rear seat speaker( it has a long wire and you could take it outside when you had a picnic)

pic 1-just a little light reading material for when you want to drag race and an original pith helmet for when it gets hot!
