didn't the 413's have an optional intake like that also

 

yes, I believe so. I used to know this stuff right off the top of my head but been away from it for awhile.

The cross ram actually names Sonoramic intake was introd earlier than the 413/426 wedges. check the info here for the rest of the story.

That is a 426Wedge Nascar engine setup. Was also used by the Drag guys too!

The long tube intake shone was the 413 Chrysler early cross ram. There was a much shorter cross ram on the 426 wedge heads. I think it was the 63 stage III wedge motor and available on Plymouth's and Dodge's. IIRC

Can you imagine the labor charge to change the valve cover gasket?
