Ive always wanted to fix up an old truck with my dad. My dad lives overseas now so i figured i might as well quit waiting. So I bought a 58 f100 from a guy that i work with for a $100 bill. I used a car dolly (bad idea) to drag it home out of the field it had sat in for 3-4 years. Not a whole lotta rust. Missing the bed, lower drivers door hinge, and the glove box door. I have no ***le and cannot locate a vin number anywhere. Would much appreciate someone knowing the location on the frame, engine, anywhere to tell me. I bought a bed from a guy down the block that is in decent shape. It has a whole rearend under it too! It was a bed trailer. I also traded a bow for a 302 HO and a c6 ******. Id like to eventually lower the truck. Ill prolly paint it flat black with a lil Ford blue. Ill try to post some pics now. thanks!

Looks great man, I like your plans. Welcome aboard.

Say, are you keeping it a long bed or are you going to shorten it?

To be honest, until just now i thought that bed was a short bed.. i just measured. :( i guess ill keep looking for a short bed. at least i got a rearend out of the deal.

The glovebox door is missing... any other suggestions?

Thank you so much for responding.

Well, ive had a huge change of plans. I love my f100. But im a big time 4x4 lover. So ive come up with a plan. Ive got a 1990 fullsize bronco with a 351. Im planning on stripping the body of the bronco and putting the f100 body on it. The wheelbase of the bronc is 104" and the f100 is 110". Im planning on cutting out 6" of the bed. Anyone seen this done? Other ideas? Thanks

That looks great gilles d. Why did you have to add 18"? Isnt the wheelbase only 6" longer? Do you still have it? Any lift?
