Yeah car is awsome Oz Welch is pullin it off again for John. The car has been built by Oz for last couple of years can't wait to see it done. I was at Oz's last year when it got chopped. Looked sweet. Don't know how it's gunna get finished for GNRS it's not even painted yet but well see Oz could pull it off Dave Hitch
love the concept, something fresh, can't wait to see it in Jan Janne rules, AMAZING talent always impresses (even when posting all the OT renderings lately of AMCs, jags, etc.)
Dave, John, Oz, and all of the guys John involves in his builds, always find a way to work "miracles" ! Glad you got to see it in its early stages ! John's reason for the chop is truly based on respect for Sam & George: http://www.legends.thewwbc.net/gpage161.html Hope you get to see it in person ! JK
yep its the same car dave,,,,john just had a cad motor built by someone near sac,I installed it,fab all mounts, but didn't want to fire it,so i had john take it to the motor guy to wire and fire it,it should be back next week if I have any chance of making it to sac autorama,I still have alot to do,hand make stainless, pans around bumpers, all gl***, window chrome, finish our body work, block, block, block, paint,***emble,,,,,ill post pics of when we chopped and did all the custom body mods as soon as I get a chance
Oz, I said it before, I'll say it again: "Your work is SUPERB !" True craftsmanship all the way ! John always tells me how great it is to work with you on his projects !! Thanks for taking the time to Post, and giving us your input ! Would love to see the pix that you have. Jonnie King www.legends.thewwbc.net
You're SO right ! Sorry to be so long in responding but I've been a little under the weather the last few days. This will be one Killer Kustom for sure ! Jonnie
Oh, I'm liking the looks of this one. John always seems to have his cars done tastefully and not loose the original styling of the car while having many changes made.
Can't wait to see it. I grew up in Brentwood, Ca (near Antioch) and used to stop by John Aiello and Darrel Holenbecks Acme Auto Body and would see John's cars being built and some of Zochi's too. Got a few pics of some of their cars under construction...should try to post them one of these days. John is a good guy. I saw him at the Boise Roadster Show and he gave my step son a bunch of signed posters.
Thanks for the kind words. As for the sligtly o/t stuff in the Friday art show, I have to do all kind of automotive stuff to make my living. I would love to do more cl***ic custom cars as this one for John.
Outstanding car, J.D. always does the coolest rigs. As others, I am excited about seeing the finish product, should be another cl***ic to help drive the traditional style along. I am sure we won't be seeing a set of 24" wheels on this bad boy. Get to feelin better pal, be a good boy and get a flu shot. Thanx for the awesome info on this dandy. ~sololobo~
sololobo... Appreciate the thoughts ! And you're right about the shot, my Doc agrees. And you're also right about John's Caddy! George is a hoot in this Interview too...lots of knowledge, and lots of fun: http://www.legends.thewwbc.net/gpage161.html Thanks again, JK
