This sure looks like Jerry Pennington's "Magician" from the seventies. ALOT. Hard to imagine it could get to this state of decay, especially if these pictures were taken twenty years ago.
Looks like she's sending back top secret launch codes using the latest in Russian communications technology. Awesome picture.
Thanks, OhioRiv, that is where the junkyard owner got the idea it was from the TV series....it was the name of the car.....Stock engine and interior, the car had been sitting for at least 5 years, but to end up in a junkyard....??????.....mmmmm The images were taken in 1989. The junkyard was two blocks away from my shop. He wanted $2500 for it.......I have more pics if interested....
Yes! I digg the fuck outa that! Much better choice on the panels. Orlando Josh is having a BBQ at his place on the 25th, next Saturday. Hope ya can make it by for a minute. Keep it easy my friend.
cars looking good!! by the title and your bondo pics it reminded me of my 54 ford four door, whole rear quarters of the car looked like this .....i just ended up swaping a two door on the four door frame...
I thought I had it rough with my 3/4'' bondo repairs over dents and the strange substances used to fix small rocker holes. but GEEZ! i feel lucky!
Nads, Great work! I just read all 39 pages and I'm in total Awe! I'll admitt you lost me with the first panel pink job, But then you broke my jaw with the finished top, It hit the desk that hard! I can't wait to see the rest of it finished! Jamie
I have a '60 Elky and want to take the moldings off the roof but don't know how to release the clips holding the rear piece. I heard that if you do it wrong you find out the hard way by destroying it. Could you, or J.Fiskbeck, show me how you did it? I looked through all of both threads and saw pics of it off, but missed the process of how to get the clips released. If either of you already posted that, maybe you could tell me which post number it was? Thanks in advance!
That is one obscene phone call I'd like.... How about some more pictures of the Elky, I'd really like to see the front end now. Did you do any concept drawings?
Ha Ted, concept drawings? C'mon man, you know me better than that. Here's some shitty cell phone pics of the moldings back from Spacecoast, they did an amazing job. Every piece had to be altered, they look ugly from behind but nobody will see that. I'm gonna try and get the other quarter sanded and smoothed out this weekend. Life's been hectic. PS, raise a glass for Eric, Hi Fi from Hi-Fi and the Roadburners who lost his life in a bike wreck yesterday, he was a badass muthereffer. There are a ton more pieces but I don't wanna unwrap them until it's time to install 'em. I haven't given up on this project, this winter will see me kicking ass.
i am fully employed to fix garbage like that. i like it, it keeps me busy, but would never attempt to recreate it. seen some good ones though. we have a wall of shame in our shop. need to post picks. sorry
this "professional" must not have owned a hammer or dolly.they would have saved him a few cans of mud.although he could be considered a sculpter rather than a bodyman.
