Just picked this up!! 39 Chevy 2Dr. Sedan.

Original owner, 1 repaint )original color. 50K original miles. My long time bro Todd'boy (goatboy on the board) has been working on helping this fine older lady go thru her husband's (died 2 years ago) things. He and his father owned the Skelly station in Independence Ks. since the early 30's, they closed in the early seventies and kept quite a bit of the goodies. Needless to say I bought some of the cooler items along with the car last night.

This thing is a time capsule and in really great shape. A few tweeks (only brakes) from sitting in the garage and she's on the road in beautiful form.

The first car I rode in here in the states was my grandfather's 39 Chevy four door from the Santa Fe station in L A to my grandparents home in San Diego.
We had just come across country by train after arriving by ship from Denmark in 1946.
We did ride in a taxi in Baltimore to get to the train station.
I don't remember what make of car it was.
    Enjoy you find.

    Thanks guys.

I've wanted 1 car, stocker, that I could cruise and stretch in, along with my hot rods. I love to buy and sell, but this is my latest keeper. I've been seeking a late 30's Chevy that I could keep basically stock, but teeter on a Bomb car. It finally worked out.;)

Got a few really cool signs as well from the garage the 39 was in. Here's 2 of them.

    Thanks.

Always liked the bomb cars myself. Some white walls and time period options is the only thing this one is going to get.

Thanks, I feel my Christmas came a little early this year
