Evenin'.... Can anybody tell me or show me the trough/drain across the lower back center of the rumble seat lid? Bolts/screws inside the body behind the spare tire rack...I presume . I'm old, just not quite that old...thanks fellers...Loafer
There is no trough/drain on the lower back of a '35-'36 rumble seat. Water just flows off the back of the lid collects on the back floor pan behind the rumble sea and evaporates. There is a metal dam that keeps the water from flowing forward. That's it. This primitive arrangement probably explains why so many original rumble seat Fords have rotted-out rear pans. On my '35 (a trunk conversion), I made up a catch basin with three drain hoses. The water flows off the lid into the catch basin and drains from there to under the car. Seems to work, at least nothing is rotting out and it has been 15+ years. Tom
