Im de-clipping my 52 chevy which has a camaro clip....got a stock frame from a fellow hamber...going the Mustang II route (lesson learned:()...this kit is a little more money, but appeared to be engineered better...also like how they already have the shock mounts taken care of...

Yeah, it worked:cool:.....I had already started before I discovered the HAMB!Probably would have decided not to 'post HAMB!:D) Too wide, nothing bolts up right, cut this so that fits, countless hours of modifying just about everything from the firewall forward!!,blah,blah,blah....Did not like how it looked on the car..so decided to start over and do it right..... clips are good if done right, maybe on trucks..not good for my type of car...

thats a bummer dude! what about a s-10 clip? they share the same spindles,rotors... as GM a-body so dropped spindles are cheap. the only time i have seen those work in 49-54 chevy cars is when the narrowed them 6" and that is way too much work.

yeah I thought about the s-10 clip also...but you still have to get all the front sheet metal to fit right. I know its do-able, but nothing works better than stuff bolting where it did from the factory! After being on the HAMB for almost 2 years, I have come to the conclusion that a mustang II is the way to go. You dont hear people complaining about their mustang II's that much, or screaming "don't Mustang II it"!! A lot of my buddies have them and are happy with the decision. Not only that, theirs were installed in a day and were back on the road the next! Mine.............still in the garage!!:(.....

Anybody out there running the No Limit IFS??Anyone? Bueller......Bueller...........Bueller.......

I can tell you that the only thing that I ever bought from them was total crap. The instructions looked like they were drawn on a napkin, the parts were cut out with a plasma and not deburred or ground.

When I called to ask for some better instructions the guy told me that I shouldn't be fabricating if it was above my skill level. I ended up using their brackets for filler pieces after I built my own.

I will NEVER deal with those peckerheads again.

    But other than that..........

When I was working for my Dad, a couple customers brought some NL stuff in, and my impression was they were ok, but there were much better alternatives for the price from other vendors. Most of it seemed "small time" or "backyard" engineering. That was several years ago, so maybe they are better now?

I'd be interested to hear of any experiences on the IFS, though. I'm gonna do something for my Fleetline hopefully in the next few months. Right now, I'm leaning toward the Chassis Engineering stuff because I'd rather use coil springs and I like CE's adjustability.

    i'll chime in

Ive installed two fatman front end kits and am very happy with them - im surprised (and actually wondering) why they havent been mentioned yet -
they set me up with the parts for my 48 pu chassis and all parts/fitment were dead on.

i never saw this thread during my search...anyways, i installed the no limit ifs in my 54 and i really like the design! however i ended up Z'ing the frame anyway to get the desiered look i was after--(layin body) where later i was told fatmans product is 2" lower than the no limits ifs. either way i was going to have to cut the frame it seems.
but if your just looking for a better front end for ride purpose, my vote is with no limit as they dont have the ugly top hat like all other kits.. jmo

Presentation is not everything but that drawing is just down right pathetic.
If you want to run in the big league you gotta at least look like a player.
Most folks do judge books by their covers and crap like that is just not acceptable.
Even Last Refuge who has coped a lot of flack about stuff on the HAMB has a heaps better TO DO brouchure than that garbage

Saw a chassis eng in an old fleetline. Thought it looked great. The guy that set it up was not mechinal type guy. I used a Hiedts and it was a real smooth deal on a 36 Ford. 2 cents worth

i agree, the tophat design is sorta on the ugly side - thats why i went with the coil upgrade, and im very happy with the look - not sure what the no limits deal costs, but yea, from the looks of the instruction sheet - pretty sketchy

whats one of their kits cost? and anybody got any pics?

Here is one of the fatman coilover design

My No Limit experience so far...not good

I recently bought a rear leaf spring kit from No Limit and not happy with the whole purchase so far.

It was missing the shock mounts and after telling them, they said I have to buy the shock mounts. It's a rear leaf spring kit, it should come with shock mounts....especially for the cost of it.

I spent waaay too much money on this thinking I was going the easy route.

My suggestion...if you're going this route, fab or find the parts yourself or go to Walton Fab. Way nicer, less expensive, and thought out kit, and it comes complete.

i recently installed a kit on my 52. Got a lot of info from Badluck before the purchase. The install was easy. The crossmember lines up with (2) bolt holes on both sides of the frame. Weld it up and bolt everything together. I will agree that the instructions are not very good but whenever I called for tech help, I always got answers (they are a little slow returning calls some times). Overall, I was happy the kit and would get it again. keep in mind I haven't road tested it but as far as the quality and install its top notch. From what I understand, they were gonna put out an install DVD out, not sure if it ever happened.
