Yeah man, been here a year now! Just finished my shop (well still have to paint and organize), but loving it down here so far. Working with the local Hambers to develop the trad. scene down here.

That is very impressive. It makes me wonder what the ratio of car guys / non car guys is over there. Is it an oddity to see what is in that video on the street or ?

I especially like the Merc that is flamed from bumper to bumper. Bad ***.

Good for you man! Must be nice to have a garage again. Is your Chevy Bomb down there with you? Hope you're getting to enjoy it.

    Aloha,

I think this chevy is called The Sphynx, its a Pharaohs car from Cholo's customs. The paint alone is amazing.

This little 'box is very nice as well, from The Kings/Ace Kustoms, apparently it can lay some rubber too.

A line up of The Kings rides a few years ago. Kings run Ace Kustoms, but its a few years since ive seen the kings plaque so i dunno.

The Strongers showed this Lincoln in progress at the 2008? Yokohama HRCS and then i never seen it finished. It sure is a sweet project.

The Strongers also own this super bad *** Rivi w/ an upside down rear bumper, im not 100% positive on it but it might have been done by Cholo's. i remember the pictures of the work done on it and it was loads.

what about getin to know some of their on topic domestics?
This is a 62/66 Toyota crown, done by Crown Cl***ics, a shop specialized in, you guessed it, Toyota crowns, they also work w/ Mooneyes japan quite some.

This is a mid to late 50s Toyopet, im not good enuff to know exact year and model, but its another sweet base for a cruiser, like this slammed one.

60s Nissan Cedric i think. One of my favorite Japanese cars. This one goin for a lowrider look is mighty nice.

    Another 60s Nissan, this one's a Gloria.

Mitsubishi Debonaire, this is one of nicest, more detailed japanese domestic kustoms. Mooneyes japan did one very similar to this but gold.

  8. Wow. Anyone that says that they don't know how to do it in Japan doesn't know how to do it themselves. Those are some of the nicest and tightest customs I've ever seen posted on the HAMB.

That is my opinion. Thanks for posting those Bonez.

Well said! They do the same with bikes! I am almost embarr***ed at what we do over here in the bike world, they really put heart and soul into their builds! Tons of inspiration through Japanese magazines like Vibes and ******** Chopper!

Yup, just arrived a week ago. But I drove it and have some steering problems. Parts are on the way, shouldn't be a big deal.
I saw you are going to the Moon Eyes show, cool! Too bad I missed ya by a year. Enjoy it man, **** it all in!

the limitless creativity used by the guys in japan is amazing, theres no one looking down there nose at them for building something different, thats what makes those cars so unique so ****ing kool, those guys just build from their hearts if we had more builders here doing the same thing and not worried bout being famous or getting a tv deal i think we would be watching videos of cars from here, build a kustom or hot rod you think is kool, **** what everyone else is doing

I've been to car shows in Japan put on by clubs and you can't tell the difference from shows in the USA. Moon Eyes goes all out on putting on their in Yokohama and it's excellent. I think over all the car guys in Japan are giving our car culture a real boost. Jun of Paradise Road is one of the best builders in Japan and puts out a great car every year. I've been to Jun's shop and it's just of of parts and cars.
Car inspections here in Japan are very difficult at times it all depends on which area of the country you live. Waddaya should find a cave and crawl into it and stay, we really don't need guys putting down our follow hot rodders.
