Really thanks for the kind words. Means a lot in a projet like this.

Tom : Come back in Italy and I'll let you see some progress !!

I've never imagined how mutch energy could absorb a full custom project starting from nothing. Actually I'm working in a easyest project, tryng to find some other inspiration and feel like doing something in the car.

After a year the project is a little step over..

I've found double leafs out from a NISSAN (UNKNOWED model)

Rear end out from a Cherochee ! Chevy bolt pattern is rare here in Italy

Someone say... "you have what you pay for"

Shock absorber supports out from '38 bones

Hand made Leaf spring to Axle support and U-bolt

FULL pic of the axle, ready to bolt on, junk stuff never liked me so mutch!!

    Hand made rear shackles

I haven't so mutch pictures of the engine positioning, I'll take more when I can...

Some random pictures, as you could see, the '32 / '34 front end enlarged the wheelbase and the front end look really better in this position. IMHO

***uming I haven't NO MORE energy to spend in the body I prefer to let finish it in a body shop.
I need some drugs for continue in this project...

    I hope you enjoy
    Luca

I made them just for find the stance. Order wrong parts from America, here in Italy cost me twice or MORE!

Had to reread this thread---what's next??? Got anything to post??? A custom '38--who would've thought it?? Great job.

  8. They are not just ugly, they are **** ugly. :D:D:D

I personally think they have exceptional lines. I prefer the standard over the deluxe. Your inspiration is a nice looking car but on the 38 if it were mibne I would keep the split back gl***. That just makes it for me and we intend to keep the split back gl*** on our tudor.

Now if I could just find a coupe to go with the sedan the wife and I could have his and hers cars.

    Highlander,

I personaly like the FE option for an engine in the '38. We are putting a 390 in our Sedan. I think it is a good choice for a gettin down the road car. Maybe it isn't the perfect engine choice for a specific era. but for your custom getting down the road car it is a good choice in my opinion.

No disrespect intended but I cant help but laugh when a guy starts out saying STOP saying 38 fords are ugly and then proceeds to change the **** out of it.That just seems really funny to me but what you are doing is really cool. The work and car look awesome.

You hit the nail right on the head! MiniTruckers turned hotrodders are ruining our hobby.

Just noticed rear u-bolts made of treaded rod ,I am sure you are useing for mock up ,Just a point threaded rod is not strong each tread is a potentionl failure point.I am sure you know that .I can see by your work you are a professional.I look at safety points all the time .One of my pet peeves are rodders that use copper lines for gas.Guess it"s just me.

Nice work so far! Looks like you are going to hsave one hell of a custom!

Be careful using the all thread for u-bolts. They tend to get weak and crack in the threads after street use. For mock up it's ok but don't think they will last forever.

    Hey Guys, I'm fine !

The whole project you see in the picture is @ the 40%, actually is near to 65%.

    Splitting:

    Bodywork 100%
    Wiring 0%
    Machanically 20%
    P***ion 100%

Actually I have some big problems at job. I'm going to be out from cars for the next year..

    Ciao Luca
