Ok this has probably been asked before.I have a 40 front spring which is way too hard, now what leaf do i take out to keep the ride height but soften the ride a little .The spring is complete at the moment as a standard 40 front.......Marq

I was wondering the same thing...My 31 roadster has an unknown axle on a suicide perch with a total of eight leaves, and i usually see 4 or 5, but i don't want to lower the car anymore than it is now......

Start by taking out the SHORT ones first, the ones that are on the TOP of the stack, try a couple first then see how it has changed, the more you take the softer it gets.

You may have to make a spacer under the spring for everything to tighten back up.
