I'm assuming you are talking about the car you list in your profile. This is the best I could do since Im at work and only have access to MS paint.

Brillaint, i like it!!! Now add some WW's and wheel covers, lower it 50mm(f) 90mm (r), nose and deck it, de-badge it, add some new front grills, a lourved bonnet,a sun visor, dummy spots and some Austin A55 side trim and some 52 Caddy bumper over-riders. Hahahaha not only is it a european car but a mordoor, the style police will go nuts!!!!

I'm thick skinned so folks opinions so far (although not asked for) are just that, your opinions on what i should or should not do to my car. Your welcome to them and it's what makes the world go around. I get a kicking as i don't drive a US car either way so i'm already on the back foot although some users here drive them.
I started this post by saying i'm "toying" with an idea and looking for parts. I have seen this on quite a few non Buick cars over the years, both in the US and UK and i like the look and if i was doing it, i'd want to use the original parts and have them functional. Good or bad i'm just trying to do something different here and look at what may or may not work. I don't have alot of money so am working with whats available here in the UK and what i have.
Maybe i should have started a "post your portholes" thread and let you beat the crap out eachother as you already seem to be doing. Anyhow it's all good, funny to read and has been really helpful. Thanks to some folks advice i now know where to get some should i want some, some ideas on how to trial the look and also had an 2 offers of actually buying some and sent to the UK.

Thanks again and sorry to start a "it's your car, do what you want" thread, that was not the intention.

    Happy days

Send me a good side shot of your car and I will do my best with it. JamesD is the best photoshop guy on here. I would post it on the photoshop thread with a description of what you are looking for. Ask nice and he might suprise you, he has done some for me and they always come out awesome. Ok enough of the JamesD love fest.

Is your actual car a 4 door?

This was exactly what I was going to suggest. Would save ya some time and some $$$. And it would take all of about 1½ minutes to generate.

Those are nice but I think on a smaller car like this that the 62 lesabre portholes would be a better fit.

It's funny to hear guys knocking fake portholes when they were fake to begin with. What were they inspired by? P51 Mustang maybe?

I picked these oldies up on the 'bay' a few years ago. Just thought they were old and cool (like me,,,at least the old part).

Portholes are the meaning of customizing! Kids used to put them on their cars to add more beauty to them.

I don't recall the OP asking for anyone's opinion, just where to get them. WTF, everybody's a f'ng critic now?????? "Ford-in-a-Ford", "portholes only on a Buick", "fenderless only on pre-'35 cars", "SBC's are overdone" - maybe you design specialists should write a book on what's acceptable so we could all follow your lead.

Geee-zuz, some of you guys are starting to sound like the sanctimonious 'originality only' snobs in the AACA !

I agree, customizing its customizing. Try looking on ebay for portholes or beauty rings...

PUT SOME MAGNETIC ONES ON, THEN YOU CAN TEAR THEM OFF IMEDIATLY WHEN YOU REALISE THEY DONT LOOK RIGHT. AND NO ONE WILL KNOW. BUT ITS your CAR

Ok, what's the reason there on a buick?

For looks or funtionality, oh so louvers, frenched antena, eyebrowed headlights desoto teeth and caddy tail lights, should never be used on anything other than what the manufactor built.

I disagree,I think Port holes could be a cool touch to a custom
