Had a helluva time working with a bunch of other HAMBers and was cool to meet some of the local cats and their cool shit. I showed up around 10:30 and left at 6:00ish, just after the stripper left We didn't get as much done as I (or Anthony, I'm sure) wished due to missing parts in the 'bag kit. There were still a lot of guys working when I left, especially Erik and Andre, so maybe more got done. But a good chunk of it got done and like I said, it was a good time. I love garage work parties. I hope to make it back sometime, but gotta get my junk together here soon. Hopefully someone will post pics.
so good to have you! i must say, this man has an attention to detail. i'm glad someone did in my shop! be did move A BIT forward after you left. a bit more on the bags, then we shifted gear and filled some body holes. andre, anthony, and myself will tear back into in tomorrow after work, and bang a ton out. (i gotta help get it done, so i can put my A back in the garage!) come back anytime Mark, it was really good to meet you. we really appreciate all your help. yer alway welcome at my place! and oh dear god, i'm afraid to see the pictures of anthony's mid day "entertainment". i'm afraid there may be a few divorces and lawsuits if said pics show up!!!!!
Thanks Mark, Erik, Andre, Josh, Josh, Craig, and any others I forgot. I messed up. Here's what I should have done: 1. Should have had EVERYTHING I needed (who'd have thought you'd have to go to five stores for up/down switches). 2. Should have bought/built all of the necessary brackets for solenoids and bags beforehand. It takes a long time to cut out and smooth 1/4 inch, '5 diameter steel discs, even w/ a plasma cutter. It was cool to meet everyone and thanks so much for your help. Almost there. PS- I'll post some pic.'s shortly.
man.....its to bad we got there so late.......fuckin work.....fuckin rockabillys....fuckin (new) smokers.......hahahaha...........
Now that I've had a little sleep, here's some pic.'s. You're not going to see any bag install pic.'s, because we're just not there yet. Wiring the entire car, installing gauges, switches, running airlines, compressors, and the tank ate an entire day. Looking back, I'm surprised we got all of that done. Testament to the quality of help, for sure. In closing, I'd reccomend giving yourself two full days on a project of this magnitude. Give your fabrication shop weeks (if not months) to carve out your brackets. This is where shit got really sideways. My five x 1/4 thick spring mounting discs were supposed to be ready for pick up last Friday...they weren't, hence the picture of the gentleman w/ the plasma cutter. Lay out EVERYTHING beforehand in your living room and make sure it all fits. Just because it's there doesn't mean it fits. Ugh! Thanks again to everyone. Great group of guys, especially smiley there. He was kind enough to let this go down (and continue to go down) in his shop. You're a good friend Erik. Oh, and that stupid switch box you see, that's where we finally pirated the switches that I looked at five stores for
um yeah ..... not sure if i want to know ..... gotta say i am a bit disappointed .... i was shocked to see that this morning ...... fuck that guy ......
Anthony, I'm glad you guys got a little more done after I left. I had never met anyone so I was clueless to all the drama. Everyone was either really cool to me, or good actors
