    Brad54..........

Is my little dog welcome ?
She is small and has NEVER bitten anyone......she is well behaved.....but spoiled rotten....

    She is a miniature Schnazuer.

She needs to come if I come........205 miles 1 way.........a couple hours at the swap.........and 205 miles home is too long for her kidneys to last......and she is a inside dog.

Deuce - I got his flyer last night - Vendor folk can have dogs as long as they ain't pit bulls and they ain't over 45 lbs

insurance rules I am sure - you should be OK with Killer there - I'll bring a biscuit just incase she's in a bad mood

Yeah, it is insurance rules. I'm allowing vendor dogs because most vendors keep the dog in their spot, tied to the car or trailer or whatever. And professional vendors' dogs are used to crowds and noise.

What we can't deal with is people walking their dog around whizzing on stuff, leaving steaming doglogs wherever they want, but more importantly, I've seen way, way too many dogs being walked around car shows that are skittish about all the people and loud noises--dogs of all sizes. A skittish, scared dog isn't predictable, regardless of what anyone says.

I was recently bit at someone's house--I'm the ONLY person the dog has ever bit, and it's the only dog that's ever bit me. Even mean dogs like me.

And I've been with my son at several car shows, where he's walked up to someone's dog and started to pet it only to be told "Oh honey, Scruffy doesn't like children...You should never walk up to a strange dog and try to touch it!" Which, of course, drives me two degrees past nuts. IF YOU'RE DOG DON'T LIKE KIDS, DON'T BRING IT TO SOMEPLACE WITH KIDS PRESENT! Dogs attract kids like lightbulbs attract moths.
    But I digress.

No spectator dogs, no dogs over 45 pounds, no pit bulls, no exceptions.
And the 45-pound rule means I've got to keep our Airedale at home all day, so I'm affected by it, too. We leave at 5:30am and usually get back about 4:00 or 4:30--so it's a long day for her, but it's out of my hands.

I even got a cool alum oil pan and 283 oil can from Duece Roadster - Thanks Randy.

Looking forward to next month already.

Thanks for the refills Modified Driver!! I saw the pictures of your shop that AV8 posted. Very cool. I'd love to get over there for a visit.

I met a couple more HAMBERS - Grnmtnboy and Blaze. Nice to meet you guys.

  12. I want to thank Tudor, Stevie G and Brad for your help loading my junk Sunday afternoon. Don't think I would've made on my own (at least not until the sun went down).

Guess I'm not as tough as I used to be. The heat damned near took me out . I didn't feel too good for awhile. Brad told me to blame it on Keystone!! Tudor, you're a bad influence :p.

But, I got through it and felt well enough to stop in Commerece to buy some new shoes with ALL that hard earned swap meet $dough$ I made ;).

Think I'll lighten the load next month and make life easier on everybody.

Thanks again Folks!!!!....and....come on up and pay me a visit. There's no tellin' what ya' might be able to screw me outa' :D .

Got to meet some Hambers I had never met before......... :)
    Gave away (almost) some junk........

But I had a good time.........
Just wish it was closer.........425 miles round trip is a little too far for a 1 day swap of this size.............for me to be a regular......

Anybody half way close should go and try it........
