oil breather, filler what year?

    this came with my motor. the guy said the motor was a '42. what year is this oil filler breather?:)

  2. I am going out on a limb (since I am not into the '36's) but I think the scoop is '36 Ford. The pipe between it and the engine is probably home made. Might be a good question for fordbarn.com.

    The scoop was used in partial production I think from '35 into '37...the common closed can was introduced in '35 too and used at same time up to '48. Tube is fabricated...rodders frequently used the slightly less curvy Lincoln one to get a bit more room back there
