Can't you just strip it where she lies? You'd save the h***le and cost of the trailer.

Get an "A" frame and lift the front up about 3-4 feet and back the trailer under it. Use a come-a-long or a winch to pull it all the way on the trailer after you lower it onto the trailer. A forklift would be another option. Whatever you do be sure to use EXTREME SAFETY MEASURES.

Send me a PM, I live for this kind of stuff. Just ask Verbal Kint. UHaul is not a great option.

  5. Buy or borrow two 20' lengths of 2x4 or 2x6 steel tubing. You can build something out of them later. Line up the car, the trailer and the tubing. Jam the tubing as far under the hulk as possible- jacked up a little is even better. Activate come along. If you have a heart condition, let a young buddy do this part, may require a case of beer.

  6. I recommend that you plan for it to take all day, so get there early. And helpers.

I'd check with the Guy to see if he knows a farmer with a tractor with a front end loader have him pick up the front end back under let it down on your post then pickup the back and push it on.

Have the guy have it loaded on his flatbead truck, when you get there, back up to his truck and winch it onto the trailer. the fenceposts under it should help it clear, but tie it down extra well, things that don't roll well are harder to keep tight... trust me on this one. Ratchet style tiedowns are your friend here. Offer the guy a 12 pack for preloading it, and you will spend a lot less time at his place!
