Chopped shoebox coupes - I've seen some done with straight B pillars, some raked pillars and some pillars removed. I've been eyeing a 49 business coupe as of late and been trying to find a build thread on sled chopping one to help me make my mind up on buying it or not. I've found nothing really dedicated to the topic. I've seen some that I really like, others that dont really stand out. So, anyone out there with first hand experience? Was it that much different than doing a 2 door sedan? Looking forward to your opinions and more so, actual experiences.
Hi Lono.....Jerry (homemadehardtop) did one recently. I saw it a couple of weeks ago & it turned out very nice. He had a great thread on it with a lot of pictures, but I couldn't find it when I did a search. Shoot him a P.M. & I'm sure he could direct you to it.
check out Ian and Finkd's shoebox chop thread! Chris Casny's is a good one too! Here...
http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=594601 page tow of this thread I started a while back has a couple of really nice chopped coupes.
There are a lot of great SEDAN chop threads and I've been over all that I can find, thanks for mentioning many of them. I'm looking for someone who has done a sled chop to a Business Coupe. The smaller roof poses its own unique challenges.
