I took this model a on trade and I'm not sure what I have. I know the body is a 31, but I'm not sure about the rest. The hood doesnt fit the 31, but does fit a 29 cowl I have. What I'm curious about is fenders, engine, and other running gear/frame. Are they 28/29 also? The rear fender on it is loosely hung so I'm not sure of the fitment.

Also, value wise what is what I have worth? The motor should run with wiring. Carb, generator, and distributer have been gone through. the brakes have been redone, but are still mechanical. Frame and suspension have been redone. the panels above the doors are with it and in good shape.

What is just the body worth? What is it worth compared to a similar condition 28/29?

right, 28-29 front fenders, think that the rear fenders might also be 28-29, as they really don't fit the wheel well....looks like someone cobbled some Model A stuff together, can't tell about the engine or running gear...

x3 on the 28-29 fenders, 30/early 31 body. The picture of the complete hood top is a Model T, not sure what year??

thats what I thought on the hood.

Whats the body worth compaired to a 29 body in similar condition? I have thought about switching for an earlier body so it all matches.

Headlight bar may be a 33-34 pick up item, post some photos of the fender mount flange to be sure. I agree with the others on the parts ID's.

The body is a 1930 not 31. One hood is a T I think. The one in pieces might be a 28 -29 it is hard to say all apart. Also which hood does not fit and why. If it sits to high in the front you might have 28-29 frame.

Looking again it has a 28 steering gear. Also the center cross member is a 28. I would say you have a 28 frame. You will have to change the front cross member to get the hood to fit.

The MF on the head either means its a M***y Ferguson tractor head or it was cast in the Michigan foundry. I had one awhile back and never figured out which it was exactly.

28-29 front fenders, 30-31 body shell, the hood with the lip is most likely a T, Model A hoods didn't have a bead at the front and rear. There should be a serial number on the left side of the engine above the radiator hose, if not it is a combine or a factory replacement. Somebody was trying to piece together a Model A with what ever they could find. The left quater has a lot of waves almost looks like it has been on fire, a friend of mine had a 29 burn and it looked like that, almost impossible to repair.

I also see the top panel of the hood is a 28-29. The 30 had a bead running horizontal just above bottom side, where the lower panel connects.

As said already, Your body is a 1930, all fenders are 28-29...that hood top is 26-27 T, pic is dark but your grille shell looks to be 32, and that headlight bar is a 30-31...Your radiator is 28-29 and the running boards look to be from a 28-29 pickup

Didn't see any doors in any of the pics. That will lower the value. There was one for sale local here on craigslist for $1500. I think it was a complete body.

The body is an early 30 since the tank has the mounting for the 28-29 style dash panel with oval speedometer rather than the wider shorter panel with round speedometer used later and into 31.
It is sitting on a 28-29 pickup frame judging from the front fenders and stamped diamond steel runningboards.

Headlight bar is 30-31, but it may be slightly bent to clear that '32 shell.

Somebodies been playing in the sandbox again.;)

$ is $ Adam, no doors hurt. Stick 1,500 to 1,700 on it, the Witchita swap meet isn't all that far away, weather permitting you could have some luck there.

    Is the grill shell fibergl***??

  21. Exactly what i was thinking. Wonder how many small parts are still at the sandblasters shop ?
