bias ply tires make me look like a pro drifter if it even thinks about raining..... and I'm probably lucky to make 130 or so ponies.

I've got Firestones bias that are over 20 years old on the shoebox, and had cokers bias on the Tbucket - wouldn't have anything else.

Original Firestone 8.50-14's bias on the front, and H70-14 bias original JC Penny **** Track Compe***ion Plus on the back.
I really like the look, and the ride is just fine.
All are like new, but totally acknowledge that they do not handle like radials....but if I want a radial ride, I can drive my pick up....I'll stick with them...reminds me of the good ol' days...:)
    Cheers..

What about the Hurst tires? Aren't they a retread? They use a radial tire with a bias ply cap. They look like a bias ply. I don't know how well they perform on the highway. Maybe someone else does.

I run Firestone 5.25/5.50-16 on front and Lester 7.00-16 on back of my '31 sedan. Love the look, the only thing I don't like is they do follow the grooves in the hiway.

Hey Jim and you ******* match people, I did do a search and I didn't see what I wanted. I don't see anyone who has responded here gett'in their heckles up, I see a lot of information being put out there by folks whicdh I greatly appreciate. Especially those who have weighed in on tire size for my A project and those who have related their experiences with new bias ply tires.

the only folks gett'in bent are those who are warning about it becoming a piss'in match.

For everyone else, I really appreciate your input on this and don't see it being a trouble at all. Open discussion = Good Stuff, what it's all about.

    Cheers!

Old cars should have bias tires. I think we've discussed this before.
