So were building a new racecar with a alcohol burning blown injected 392 Hemi. We have ordered ALOT of expensive parts in the last few months with a few mistakes. Thank God we were dealing with HONEST USA made and operated dealers. When We called each company with the problem they both stepped up and corrected the mistakes immediatly. With no cost at all.No haggeling No shipping no restock charge just an apology and good old American customer care. Thanks to Moser Engineering HotHeads. I hope this doesnt get taken as a spam I just thought people here would like to know. FEDER
Thanks, I work for a large HVAC manufacturer in the USA not automotive. admittedly american factories are a dying breed but I try to buy american when ever I can. Of course most people just save $20 buying chinese **** that lasts half as long for 75% the price. If everyone would think about it buying american is worth the few extra dollars to have real customer service and quality components. Think!, you buy american, an american keeps their job. you get quality parts and customer service, If you buy knock off **** you save a little money up front and it fails prematurely with no warranty or customer service. Not to mention you are fattening some corporate guys pockets while they outsource their manufacturing to a third world country for pennies an hour for labor.... I know edelbrock does a lot of USA manufacturing and i'm sure many more, I always research companies of parts i'm searching for before i buy. I'd rather pay $200 more for USA made aluminum heads than off shore junk (thats my next project purchase) Buy American!!!
I also try to buy American as much as possible. That goes for everything from car parts to household items to clothes. A good hint is if you can't find or afford it new thrift stores have a lot of old stuff that was still usa made. I've found levis(with tags never worn but sat on a shelf), ****ies, tools all made in usa. The best is old tools and machines that not only say made in USA but the state and sometimes city . like Brooklyn, NY, USA that always rocks!
