keep the front end low, it is pro street with those big rear tires, so do not try to make it a g***er, combining the two only results in it looking confused.

    neat project.

Numbers were from 600 to 650+ with strong torque. Very flat torque curve, so it should pull all the way down the track.
First pulls were with shop carb and headers, Made a few p***es with minor changes, then switched to my carb and made a few more p***es, getting it to match shop setup, Then changed headers, headers improved torque curve and sound awesome. Here are some engine pics from the dyno week. Click for larger images.

Probably split the time with the Vette, we'll see.

As you can tell from my username, this is a "been there, done that" for me. I had a blast with my HJ - 28,000 miles and a lot of strip p***es. It's long gone now, so I'm a little jealous of you.

What are you using for a rear suspension to put all that horsepower to the track?

Had to stop somewhere so I'm leaving the suspension as it is for now.
I know that's probably where I should have started, but it is what it is.
Leaf spring with traction bars. I drove it last fall about 10 miles and the only thing I know is it was real stiff. I'm hoping it works. It's tubed and will have fat 32's on it. Probably 32x17. I put in 4:56 gears and a locker and can detune or change the gear if it gets nasty.

What did you have for suspension in yours?
