I was there and every car was SO nice. Well... there was this one guy who drove up in a lincoln with 20 inch wire wheels, flat black paint, and a red roof with air brushing...

Seriously, i loved most the cars there, and I really wish I could have stayed longer and talked with some of the guys about there cars but I was there with my mom and she can only take so much.

    Just wondering...

I love how the cars are parked. Enough room around them to get great pics and take a good long gander. I had a thought. With as much room as you have there it would be neat if you had a portable PA system and microphone and had each car owner get a chance to tell something about each car and it history or build history. Now that would be a very cool and different twist on a car show and you would learn something and it would be talked about all year. Ryan you can go ahead and use my idea I am ok with it.

Here is a shot I have not seen of this car in the Revolution posts. This is from one of the few shots I took. I heard it was built in 54. Correct me if I'm wrong.

love how all the cars are spread out. gives a chance to admire each car with room to walk around it, take pictures and just enjoy it. wish more events were like that.

  15. Its sort of funny that one of the 1936 Fords have extra bars on the hood and the other is missing some? They need to make a deal with each other and make them both correct.)

    Because it's Texas.

They have the room, why not use it? Less crowding around cars and struggling to get a look. Better for picture taking too.

  17. Here's a great write-up on it by Jeff Norwell back in '08.

AndyG is a super nice guy who drove this roadster from Arkansas to Austin in December thus making him a certifiable bad***.[/QUOTE]

Andy is my good buddy and my "Hot Rod Roadtrip hero" He left Arkansas 22 degrees snow on the ground drove his pure pre-war duece with mechanical brakes to Austin the only thing that broke was the zipper on his coat! :) have a good ride home buddy! Great pics my dad was there and called and said it was awesome.

It was awesome see your ride cruising the interstate! After the stories of your 6000 mile roadtrip shared in the Austin Motel parking lot and speed talk....I knew there was no use tryin' to catch that HEMI COUPE!

It was great to meet you too....keep in touch!

Made it in to Texarkana earlier tonight....nice and warm in THIS motel room!
