296 V8 on here isn't a million miles from you, in Nor-Cal. Look up his profile for details.

I called them when I was looking for an axle. He (Dave Mann I think?) told me he doesn't drop axles anymore, just polishing.

One more vote for 296V8. He's worked on 3 deuce axles for me and the work was excellent!

13. Seems like dropping an axle that has already been drilled would be a challenge.

14. Go with Greg (296 V8). Fo realz

15. I agree with the others. Greg does great work.

Does anyone have a link to the tech article on lowering you own? It was posted up by a member a few years back.

Mind if I ask how it was shipped?
Iv never found an economical way to ship them there …. Outside of finding someone filling a container.

USPS has a 48” limit
UPS - FedEx - ….. want over $300.oo

Have you tried shipping them threw greyhound? I had 2 bumpers shipped and the bottom portion of a rear seat out of a 51 chevy too. They were a lot cheaper.

Someday when I have some spare time ((:)rolleyes:))) im going to build a more universal jig for dropping …. So I can do any axle by simply adjusting or changing parts in the jig.
Right now I only do 28 to 48 ford
