Hey Mark, Glad to see you here.....a really great place to hang out, and the info you can get here is unbelievable... !!! Cheers, Bob
Possibly my favorite car of all time, definitely my favorite of all the cars he ever built! Good luck with it Mark. Please, please, post up progress or PM me about how it is going. That car really proves out how much that guy knew and understood about engineering. Oh yeah, welcome to the hamb from another "lurker". Later, Wally
thanks fo the kind replys the indy car was a barn find i remember cottin driving this car in the 80s when i found the car i had to save it i will have to sell when it is finished because i will not fit in it
Welcome to the hamb. Do you own this car? What stage is the resto and any chance it could be bought now?
Thank you for being an enthusiast and taking this on, there is always the temptation to part something like this out. Unfortunately there isn't much you can do if you're a big dude, the fuel tanks are right behind the seat and the master cylinders are on that plate which is welded onto a crossmember that's in turn welded to the frame in front so the pedals can't really go any further forward...and you're kind of locked in width wise by the shifter rod (if width is the issue ;-) Have you made any progress on it?
