Well, someone ran into my old daily driver (an '82 corolla with only 60k miles), so their Ins Co totalled it out and gave me a couple of checks. Here's what I picked up: It's a '65, but don't tell the moderators that! 289, C-4, 2 barrel, Flowmasters, power steering, new interior, clean body, needs paint. So far I replaced the motor mounts, converted it to a dual master cylinder braking system, replaced the fuel pump, neutral safety switch, and turn sig switch and tightened a bunch of stuff. It needs paint and a little more love but it runs and drives really nice, and I think I got a really good deal. I went to look at it the day it was advertised, made an offer $500 less than he was asking, and brought the guy cash the next day. Plans are to put on a set of torq thrust D's and do the bodywork and eventually shoot it the same wimbledon white with red stripe, and drive the snot out of it. Cheers.
Looks good! Then again I'm biased If you haven't already check out tffn.net for Falcon stuff. They have a good forum there.
Yeah, no joke! I was driving a '56 Olds daily, but man it was just too nice to risk it in LA traffic. Plus, I sold it to start saving for a house. The American dream, you know. The wreck actually made things work out pretty good!
