Hi my name is Erick Askim I just got a 1940 willys 4dr deluxe sedan. Would like any suggestions on suspension up grades.
Welcome Erick, Number of things you can do. Start looking on ebay for a pair of king pins (they are usually quite worn.) New leaf springs would also help. Today there are a great many modern shocks that will fit. Might look for a steering dampner for the front axel. Somewhat hard to find, and hard to describe. Unless you are going to have a pure stocker, radial tires also help. g-willys P.S. the 37-41 king pins are 3/4 inch dia. Earlier Willys were 5/8 dia...will not fit.
