Trying to build a roll bar for my 30 and got the main hoop done but need ideas on building rest of it need to see pictures on what everyone else has done to get ideas. Trying to build it so it can still be removable when I need to take the body off. I believe it will be a 6 point roll bar my coupe has been chopped 5 inches and we are trying to build it to p*** tech at bonneville. I do have a rule book for bonneville but everything I think of doing makes me unsure if it would be ok. So please any pics of what has been done would be great.

Samiyam posted some good info on my thread here: Help me with my roll cage, please..

Note that he has built a car that has p***ed tech. My project is currently stalled out in a friend's garage.

first pic is initial roll cage
second pic is additional support structure as requested by SCTA tech crew
last picture is completed cage and additional support structure approved by SCTA tech crew. Car has run 2010 and 2011 Bonneville Speed Week.

I suggest that, you submit a drawing of your cage design to SCTA tech. The tech crew will be very helpful and will give good suggestions. Regardless of design suggestions you may get here on the HAMB, SCTA tech is final approving word.

You will end up with more than a roll bar.

Good luck, see you on the salt.

    thanks for the good words.

There were five youngsters involved in the build, the youngest was 52. Our youngster group is somewhat pc/web/upload/download etc. challenged.

We didn't do a build thread, anywhere.
