Hi all. Thought it about time to intro myself. Currently living in Tauranga, New Zealand. Have moved around over the years and have hauled all my ole car stuff along with me. Got interested in Hotrods at around five years old as my fathers best friend was building a 38 Chev coupe. I decided I needed to have a coupe for myself (as you do at 5ish) and so began my coupe love affair. Saved up thru my teens and bought a 26 new beauty steel T bucket with 289 etc an old show car. Then proceeded to drive too fast and take too many risks as only a 17yr old can. Bought my 38 Ford coupe May 88 (was 17yrs) basically a shed fill of stuff (several trailer loads). With no skill but some luck I made it thru the teen years and decided a pickup truck would be handy. So built a 40 pickup with BB ford. Had no money as the morgage seemed to take most of that so built it flat black and simple. Made a start finally on my coupe around 2 years ago but have shifted again since so progress is a little slow. Now have a little boy to help me in the shed and needed to sell the 40 pickup and replace with a family friendly cruiser. Just took over a fellow hambers 56 ford customline vicky. Would like to say a big thanks to BobLove for a great car. The family and I love it and Bob was awesome to deal with, a real gentleman. Hope to continue building the coupe and enjoy the 56 in the meantime. I look forward to learning for all you guys. Regards Mike.
Welcome aboard from Hotrodfornia. What do ya mean by "Chicken Trainer"? I've played chicken a few times on the double yellow...won every time....knock on wood. How can you help me beat the odds? LOL
Many thanks for the warm welcome fellas. I have been asked about the chicken training and feel I need to explain further. I am currently developing a high energy fuel for a friends speed record attempt car. Currently held by a drunk on a stolen skateboard. He choose a model A ( for its aero dynamics) and uses a Olds Rocket engine (hense rocket fuel!). Due to the extreme volatility of the fuel we have had to train a chicken to start the engine once fueled after a few too many near shed fires and carb explosions. The engine is a low hour ex sewage pump engine rescued from the local water treatment facility and we have retained the crank driven pump to supply the methane gas ****tail we have developed for attempt. Our biggest issues have been dressing the chicken with the flame proof suit and contined breakage of the coupling between the front mounted piekost gearbox and engine. Any help with either of these problems would be kindly received by either 4t6ford or myself. Regards Mike.

Must be time for my yearly post so I'll use it to say that you're about to waste a heck of a lot of good garage time on the internet now.......
