Projects upholstery poll: what would you go with

My 56 olds is getting sent down to get the upholstery done next week and I am stuck. I have two styles that I like and cant make up my mind what way to go. i like the suttle look of the one but still cant get the other one out of my head. I do know that I am doing black and white. but still needing a little pust one way or the other of what look to go with. all input is welcome. HELP ME OUT!

I like the one on the left, the right one is to busy for me.

the car still looks like **** lol but got a deal worked on upholstery so Im getting it done while he is slow. Im still not sure what color the car will be, that is why im doing black and white. but you asked for it so here ya go. the car is about on the road now but i havnt done a thing to the body yet

 

I think the one on the right would look better if the facing were black rather than white (less busy)and then I think it would be my favorite.

 

I chose the one on the right. The one on the left looks like ten thousand other interiors.

 

I would do the one on the left, except reverse the colors. The pleats will show up better in white.

the one on the left might be the better choice for a 56 olds,
i really like the busier one on the right, but that might look better/less busy if it was just a bench seat in a coupe or a truck?

 

I have never been able to get a nice custom interior, I like all white I may hate keeping it clean but thats what I would like.The pleats are timeless and if you use the right colors you can change the outside paint color and still look good.

 

thats why im doing black and white also as it stands right now im thinking black carpet
black dash pad
white headliner
and doing the factory style doors with original trim

 

It would have to be the left for me, clean and simple the one on the right looks too much.

 

The one on the left. The upholstery you choose will be with you for a long time, after a while the one on the right will make you crazy.

 

This is a terrible edit job but I would do this.

I would go with the one on the left. Sorry, but there's just too much going on with the one on the right........Just my worthless opinion...Don.

 

my real idea was to do all the black that you put in white and the centers black

 

left hand side for sure. a no brainer.

 

If you are building a traditional style go with the one on the left,also look reversing the colors, it will be easier to clean, if you are like me you will have dirty hand print on the back of the seat.

LEFT! i always go with the "less is more" mentality..

 

K13 has a goog idea with his edit. if the edges have white on them anywhere, that is where the wear is gonna show first.

 

Better. The one on the right makes my brain hurt.

 

Left is cl***ic. Right is busy.

Left would look better on a clean custom.

Right would be ok with a car that has flames, blue dots, curb feelers, a foxtail on the antenna and fuzzy dice on the mirror ( and maybe some flipper hubcaps w **** ladies on them).

Well, from the pics of your car, looking at the door, I think the one on the right is the better choice (you said you were gonna keep the door panels), if it were made to fit the door panel pattern - original style maybe?

 

For not trying to be smart, I'd say you did pretty good.
