Well, another bummer today. God must be pissed off at those Hoosiers..two rainy Sundays in a row. It started raining when I was about 300 feet from the track.

Well that chicken Willys didn't want to race in the rain. I had my Mickeys on with half a dozen grooves in them....he probably knew my rain slicks would have cleaned his clocks:p

Oh well..all in fun. Randy and his buddies are really a great bunch.

A few hardcore racers spent the night there. That's dedication.

Now if Randy hadn't of overslept we might have gotten a pass.:D

So THAT was why Randy was late, I saw him come flying over the railroad tracks by the track with his rig on his way to the entrance. Randy and Tom and been friends of mine for years, we always have a good time at the track. Randy fired up the grill and cooked some really tasty Italian sausage and burgers after we called it. Would you believe the sun came out at 4 p.m. and dried the track after that miserable morning? I guess it just wasn't meant to happen this year. We'll try again at some point in the future.

I hope no one thought I was inhospitable as I was invited to the cookout and would have loved to meet new friends.

My 'streetrodding' buddies had to get home to watch some guys run around a field playing graba$$ with each other.

    Next time they stay home.

If any of you guys are going out to play cars this year, I'd appreciate knowing.

All this buildup over the last few weeks has got me hanging....LOL

Let me be the first to say that LB (bovman) who tried to get his gig going is one stand up guy. If anyone left the strip yesterday unhappy with anything besides the weather they have a problem.

Looking forward to next years 3 day extravaganza.

Hans, thanks for the kind words. We need to get out to the track together before season's end, I'd like to enjoy myself at the track for once and race, instead of having to work the business end of drag racing. I'll talk to Randy and see what his upcoming plans are. Maybe we can put a small group together and have a fun day at the track. The good food and conversation afterwards yesterday made up for the rain out. I'll be in touch.
