detroit autorama 2012

Myself and a couple of friends are going to the 2012 Detroint Autorama and would like to book a hotel room within walking distance of Cobo hall. Does anyone know the area? Could you give me the names of hotels real close. Thanks for the help.

 

Contact BobK he gets a block of rooms for Hambers. The hotel is great with a good bar to hang out in and it's 2 blocks from Cobo.

Stayed there last year,everything was fine but it got realy drunk out friday night!

 

I might go this year... I'm only 20 minutes away from there..

You cant go wrong with staying at any of the Casinos there. You can also take the people mover from the casino to cobo.... We always park at greektown casino, gamble and have some drinks, then take the people mover over to cobo.

The Fort Shelby Double Tree is a two minute walk.

 

Yeah but the bar ain't anywhere near as much fun as the HEI.

thats for sure! not a good bar in the doubletree. We hang out at Cobo Joe's, and bring our own beer.

 

We are bringing down my cousins '46 Ford this year for the basement. We have been going on Saturday for a lot of years, but in 2009 we decided to put my truck in the basement now we are hook spending all weekend in Detroit! GOOD TIMES with GREAT people.
