55 chevy pick up build

I am slowly moving forward on this project, for the first time in the 5 years I have owned this truck its actually in my garage, today I went to my 79 chevy donor van and pulled the steering column out yeah ! it has tilt!,,

soon I will have the cab off and the sheet metal started

 

here is the truck with a 350 four bolt new carb, and a TH 400

 

Cool, since your in the early stages have you considered a saginaw(cheap) or muncie four speed?

What are your plans? Hot Rod truck or sled?

These trucks are bad *** with a nasty small block and four speed

For me I prefer the stock column and wheel in these....Just my preference.
