THIS POST HAS RYAN'S BLESSING: So the past year I was at the round up in Austin and got the pleasure to meet and become good friends with Dennis O'Brien from O'Brien Truckers and had a great weekend. We got talking about the air cleaner that is on my car and who might have made it. In the past I have taken it to alot of drag racer collectors and no one has been able to clearly discover when or where or who made it. Dennis asked if he could borrow it and see if he could pull a mold of it and maybe start repoping them. Well 7 months later with emails back and fourth and alot of work on Dennis's side theey are now available and ready to ship out. Check it out and see what you think.
Man, Christmas Eve and the smart ***es are in full force! I'm gonna have to check this out. If it's got a good filter in there, it may be just the added bling I need. Edit: I didn't see them on thier site.
I guess I should reply to this post huh? Not sure how I missed it Yes these new scopes, opps I mean scoops are in stock and ready for shipment. We made totally new tooling to do these and we made one modification to the original design. On the original the edge inside going into the carb had a 5/8" radius - maybe for decent air flow, but it left no "landing place" for the bottom of an element. So we made ours with a "sharp" edge thereby making it element friendly because we prefer to make functional air cleaners. My guess is that the original might have been for boats and just used as a scoop, not as an air cleaner. So ours comes with a cotton gauze washable lifetime element, cover, 1/4-20 stud, special compression sleeve, SS/neoprene washer and SS Acorn nut - all for just $175 plus shipping (and of course HAMB Alliance Members get 10% off as a thank you for helping to support the HAMB. Happy Truckin', Dennis
