Hello everyone...My name is Jason and I just wanted to introduce myself a bit. I have been lurking for a few weeks now as I have taken on a 51 Ford project. I am originally from East Grand Forks, MN, but attend school in Fargo, ND. My family has a 1946 Chrysler Windsor that is all original that I will inherit when I have settled down(restored in late 70's) and I have a 1949 F1 that has been a work in progress for years. The shoebox we are working on is a 1951 tudor. We actually have two cars to work with, but there was a very poor chop job completed (body is all twisted and a plasma cutter was used to cut the roof off, well over a half-inch of Mar-Glass was used on the roof to smooth it out, already some cracking present), so the plan is to use the other body and at this point leave it unchopped, but put it on bags. At this point we have the unchopped body off of the car and on the rotisserie that we made yesterday, so it can go to the sand blaster this week. We are hoping to get the car completed this spring, so hopefully things will move at a fairly fast pace. I will try to get some pictures up soon. I just wanted to introduce myself and thank everyone for the wealth of knowledge on this site.
Welcome from "out west" in central ND, home to beautiful sunrises/sunsets and where the prairie grass grows tall and deer/buffalo roam.
I'm another guy from Fargo here. Picked up a '51 coupe last fall. Would be cool to get together and see what you guys have got.
