i have a horne intake for my hemi and 4 94's with a progressive linkage, trying to figure out which 2 carbs to run first, i was trying to get the 2 center carbs to go first but the linkage seems to want the 2 outer carbs to be primary's, with some mods i think i can get it to work on the center first, or is it ok to have the outers as primary's?
i have a 3x2 center to rear to front. you should be able to make it work the same way unless u want all 4 to kick in at once
It's normal to run the center 2, as they are centrally located. You probably can use the end 2, though fuel distribution might not be as good w/o the other 2 working.
that was my concern about using the outer as primary, i guess i will have to modify the linkage i have to make the 2 centers my primary's
Thinking about it.....the Edmunds 2X2 had the carbs @ each end, where your linkage works well with the ends carbs, it might be ok to go with it the way it is.
i just came up from ba*****t(snow storm outside) and fiddling with carbs and linkage, by mouving rods, cutting to lenght, and shiftings the pivots i will be able to get it to run the 2 center as primary's. at what percentage do you's usally get the outer's to kick in? i am looking right now at 1/2 trottle before the outer come in and are all in togheter at 100% trottle, will try and get picture.
