  4. 5.3 is that like a 327? We put a 350 in the Raven's AD with not mods to the firewall its the same external dimensions as a 327. 327s are cool. I had one in a '64 Impala SS once. Anyway getting back to it there is some steering interferiance but no hill for a stepper. Small Block Chebby in an AD truck, now that is the bomb.

hey you're in Onterio? I went to a soil judging contest up there with the FFA once.

Actually my Roadmaster dropped a wheel bearing up in that part of the country once as well. Talk about a sick feeling in the pit of your stomach. I had to walk back to some little burg, don't remember the name. I used the pay phone to call a friend in the Washington Valley. Jose was his name. He said how much money ya got I said about enough for a couple of cheese burgers and a coke. He said is the chick with ya and I said that she was. He said you better grab those burgers you're gonna be there a while.

So I grabbed a couple of burgers and a coke. Walked back to the car and there was missus '****** sitting on the trunk just smiling. So I told her what Jose said. It was late in the day I figured we would just spend the night and I'd hitch hike home for tools and parts the next day.

We were sitting one the hood looking out at the world and having a smoke when off in the distance we saw these lights just kind of jiggleing and getting closer a little at a time. finally they were close enough that we could make them out. It was jose in the world's lowest chebby. he pulled up and threw me the keys, said there is stuff in the trunk you better get started. then he pulled out a pick nick basket and said, " So chicka, jou hungey? my lady made us a picknic." He that that damned big Jose smile on his face.

Good times damned sure were. We fixed the bearing and he poured a jug of gas in it and motored home. Good times damned sure were.

5.3 not HAMB friendly, try a sbc, J2, sbf, or anouther cl***ic powerplant. etc.

And this one time, at band camp, ......

That 5.3 will fit into just about anything. Easiest way to do that deal is to get everything from the donors as a unit. Engine, trans, harness, computer, accessories, lines, gaspedal and TAC module if its DBW. Known as a "complete drop out"
