does anyone know if a 5.3 chevy will fit in a 54 chevy truck without modifying the firewall, im curious
5.3 is that like a 327? We put a 350 in the Raven's AD with not mods to the firewall its the same external dimensions as a 327. 327s are cool. I had one in a '64 Impala SS once. Anyway getting back to it there is some steering interferiance but no hill for a stepper. Small Block Chebby in an AD truck, now that is the bomb. hey you're in Onterio? It was jose in the world's lowest chebby. he pulled up and threw me the keys, said there is stuff in the trunk you better get started. then he pulled out a pick nick basket and said, " So chicka, jou hungey? my lady made us a picknic." He that that damned big Jose smile on his face. Good times damned sure were. We fixed the bearing and he poured a jug of gas in it and motored home. Good times damned sure were.
Lmfao And this one time, at band camp, ...... That 5.3 will fit into just about anything. Easiest way to do that deal is to get everything from the donors as a unit. Engine, trans, harness, computer, accessories, lines, gaspedal and TAC module if its DBW. Known as a "complete drop out"
