What does your old car smell like?

My 60 F100 smells like Alabama clay and Bruton Snuff as thats all the truck did was drive around the barn and haul things and debris in Albertville Ala. and my step grandfather dipped bruton snuff all the time.My 73 Fury smells like mildew cuz water keeps pouring in on the fuckin carpet.and my 73 Gremlin smells like tree leaves as thats all thats inside it as its busy sitting under a Phicus tree

 

Some gasoline, old fabric, burnt oil and a sweaty, happy guy tonight!!

Smells like my Grandfather's old Ford truck. Which, oddly enough, still smells like it did when I was nine.

 

it depends on whether it rains or not. gas, smoke or beer, plus the funky new bench seat out of a 58 truck? my homies dont even like to ride in my car...f'm.

antifreeze.burnt oil and trans fluid and cigarettes.and of course old musty interior..ive tried simply citrus to cover it up (we used it at motel 6 to cover up cigarette smell and worked awesome) that worked for about 5 minutes.

 

Mine smells like moth balls in the spring and dirty boots in the fall. I've always wondered if someone has ever put "that new car smell" in a spray can. Sounds like a good scam.

My Hudson smells like "HOt Buttered Ass" (tm) when you first open the doors after iT has been sitting for any length of time ( which is what usually happens, hence the second smell....) it is enough to floor you or make you lose your lunch. IT is actually the steering wheel that produces the smell, the rest of the car smells like neglect.....& old oil...

Breather fumes when I'm on it, so breather fumes most of the time, my truck smells of gear oil but that should improve as I fitted a new pinion seal today.

 

Well it smelt like a funeral home when i started the project now with the new interior dont it has that new car smell.

 

After reading some of your posts, I'm pretty happy with the smell of my old cars...mainly they just smell like old fabric. The cadillac gets a little smelly if I leave it closed up for too long. It spent a couple years in Louisiana, and picked too much moisture. It definitly has a similar smell to my old 59 biscayne, my first car.

One of my other cars smells like some sort of chemical...the racing jaz buckets in it stunk since I bought them. After a couple years the smell has improved but they still stink a bit.

 

My 57 Dodge half ton smells like warm oil, dust, crumbling cardboard interior panels and the dry smell of the horse hair or excelsior or whatever organic material was used to stuff the bench seat originally.

It's downright pleasant opening the door and climbing in especially in the evening if it's been a warm day.

My car smells like clean air because it gos so fast that I can't think about what the hell it smells like when I'm Just keepin on the road!!!!!

when I first got it I reckong my Olds smelled like Arizona..... it sure did have a kinda dry desert aroma to it, usd to open my 4 car garage and the smell would just hit you, wore off after a couple of years now just smells like corroding steel (live too close to the sea) used oil (rear main seal) and stale gas......

 

I think it smells like the toilet seat off a New England cod fish fishing boat .
