    Hi Guys,

I am Thomas, I go by 2bits on all my forums. I am a fan of alot of different things. I am more of a cruiser than a rodder, and my favorite year models are the usually hated 73-77 year models.

I've owned seven 73-77 Monte Carlo's and had 4 at one time. I manage a 73-77 Monte Carlo club on yahoo.

My other interests are inline 6 cylinders, I love the simplicity of them, and I had a Mercruiser 250 on my '71 Chevy truck with a Offehauser 4BBL intake. I also did a long bed to shortbed conversion on this truck.

I also designed and built a '47 teardrop Trailer from the frame up.

Currently, I have a '78 Chevy Silverado that is one owner, and fully loaded. I also have just finished my only other vehicle, a '74 Monte Carlo. I found the body with the existing paint job and complete interior for $400 out in East Texas, and I dropped a stock 305/TH350from an '86 Monte Carlo in it, put a 2BLL carb on it , and the next step is over drive. I also actually pulled the POSI rear end with 3.73 gears to put in standard highway gears. Insane you might think at first, but this car is going to be my daily driver, not a weekend toy, I want to be cruising in style where ever I go, and to be able to afford this, I approached this drivetrain with simplicity and gas mileage in mind. I have a Two Car right now that is going to be sold ASAP as soon as the Monte Carlo is on the road, which is ironically TODAY since I just overcame a lugnut issue thanks to the help of you guys right here on this forum!!!!

I will own no vehicles with a computer, and everything I own will be paid for! MY next project will be building a new camper, then a 100% home built rat rod style car/truck with an inline 6 and manual ******. My step father is also leaving me his '57 and '60 chevy Stepside trucks, but It's not like I am rooting for that day LOL

My personal website with all my interests is: http://www.grossepointegothic.com

  2. Cut off point for this site is around 1964.
I think your cars are too new and please don't show or mention anything about rat rods here.
    Other than that. Welcome

Just doing a quick consensus on what is out here on RAT RODS. Seems to be a lot of talk and interest. Lifestylz is just frustrated because rats take some talent and creativity. The only thing he can build comes from a "cl***ics" receipe. Rats rock!
