Too heavy, and way too much bodywork. But they've got the right idea.

I love that little conduite interieure! I wonder how many, if any, were built that way.

I bet the riding mech here has spent some time in a motorcycle hack, eh? Gary

  28. Outstanding thread. What of the driveshaft (disregarding chain) are these 3 and 4 wheelers using? On some it is a long way from a front engine and transmission to the rear wheel. Solid steel or tube, how long is too long for either? I'm thinking some might have a distance of perhaps 4 feet to reach. The Sandfords seem to be rather long.

    Great website.
I've read on this site about using VW front suspension, Honda CX500 motors, and Velorex cycle cars. I thought I would share my project since it uses them all. The picture explains the project the best. I used the VW front end because it's easy, has good brakes, and you can get good roll stiffness by replacing the top torsion leaves with a sway bar. The CX motors have been used in cars with good success and are cheap. I bought a whole running bike that had a clear title for $400. It didn't run very good, needed carb rebuilding and a new CDI unit. It still needs a new charging stator. My plan to license it? Just use the CX500 bike plate and go! 75% of the bike is still being used. It works for me. I hope the photo up loads and I will post a more current photo later
