Wrapping up the flake job on my 53 right now. One more coat of clear and I'm calling it a night. Started spraying about 7:30 pm, and now it's 2:30 am! it looks better that I was hoping thought, and went pretty smoothly besides a few "curtains" in the clear and a masking mishap below the grille. I'll post some pics when I get home from the shop. I'm gonna be DYING to get it on the road now!:D

Ok, here they are. These are the only 2 taht didnt' turn out like complete ass. Flake' is fuckin' hard to take pics of! It looks orange in the pics, but it's actually I jar of Red Mini Flake laid over a metallic red base (whos name I forgot), with fireball Red flake' laid over the red mini flake. It looks crazy as shit :D ! Once it completely finished I'm gonna get a photographer friend to take some good pics of it and I'll post em.

PLEASE tell me you didn't tape off the chrome around the top!!! If you did, you're going to have to cut that edge with a razor blade, & it's probably still going to look like shit...
    Great looking job, BTW. :)

Dang Switch, that looks awesome! It sucks how digital cameras can mess with the real color. You gonna have it ready to drive to HRW? Would love to see that paint come to life in the sun. Way to go!

No I didn't tape off the roof trim...the tape line was made where the trim attaches ......jeez gimme SOME credit!

I hope to be at HRW, still got LOTS to get done by then though. Sand it, re-clear it, sand it again, buff it. Spraying the interior parts, putting everything back together again.... Thanks for the kind words.

Good lord, that is almost bordering on overkill... and i absolutely love it. can't wait to see some good pics in the sun.

If you think you're worn out now, just wait til you have to colorsand and buff the whole thing... best of luck hoping you don't pass out on it. ;) Looks great tho.

I'm gonna do my 55 Pontiac in a solid red flake all over! I LOVE THIS SO MUCH! Remember to post tech type details on how you did this so I can be prepared when I start spraying mine!
