I've recently been looking into buying new tools to use for a college course I'm currently taking and to use after I graduate and start a new career.Problem is I desperately want to buy USA made tools but being a student I can't afford to shell out the $ for stuff like cornwell, mac, snap on,etc. On the other hand I'm hesitant to go with craftsmen (or any other box store brand) because I've recently noticed a DEEP dive in quality, more stuff being made in china, and the lifetime warranty seems to be more advertising then a guarantee.

Tried looking in my local pawnshops but they want more for the beat to hell stuff then what it would cost to buy new. Havent had much luck on Craigslist either.

Any suggestions for decent ,affordable, starter, USA made tools that arent going to bust the bank? Or am I just going to have **** it up and take out another loan for the good stuff?

You can get some pretty good tools at Ace Hardware actually, some but not all are made in the USA.
