Okay,... I know this is one lame thread,.... But I am really bored, This always seems to be what happens,... sweltering heat, freezing rain, snow showers or slush, thunder storms,..... you name it. This always seems to be the rule more than the exception. I had to move some cars around,... but the weather has been unpredictable,.. weather man says this day and that day are going to be ****py,.... But, Thursday will be nice,.... Great !, I call my son, between us we had to move 4 cars around. and he had this week off. So We plan for Thursday,... Well between the shop and the barn, you have to move a lot of stuff around to put the car being moved, in the place you want it. Kind of like those Chinese number puzzles we had when we were kids,... The ones where you have 16 spots and 15 interlocking pieces,... and you had to keep sliding them up, down or sideways to put them in order,..... yeah,... like that. Well we woke up to freezing sleet that turned into snow,... Cool !,... not what we were hoping for,... but the typical weather we end up moving cars in...... No big surprise but we can always hope for the best. Nothing was going right, between flat tires, trailer lights, frozen straps, you know,... the normal stuff you deal with,.... Anyway,.. we ended up getting one moved for me,.. and one for him. So next week,... we'll have to finish the job. My Grandson always comes along anytime I have the trailer hooked up,.... he lives for this kind of stuff,.... Am I the only one that has this happens to ?,.... A good buddy of mine says I have a little black cloud that follows me like sad sack from Beetle Baily. It seems this roadster only moves in this type of weather,.... Here's my Son and Grandson, Binding er' down. And here it is getting ready to take a long winters nap in the Barn,.....
You know the way it works, if it has no top,the weather will ****. At least thats how it is in my world. Awesome car and I'm sure your grandson had fun
i would not bother with that car, bring it down south,60 today, shorts and no snow. i'll do my best to help you out
I hear ya dennis, i have one to move about 5 hours on monday, and there talking **** weather around here on guess what???? Monday!
I think its kinda like "Mechanics Aura", you know, where a friend brings a car by and says "Its doing this" but when you listen or drive it nothing happens. Just part of what we do I think. Beats the **** out of collecting stamps I bet. Good for your grandson, he's learning early. Just don't say bad words around him, them younguns can innocently repeat them in the worst possible setting, as I learned the hard way.
That's why I live in Southern California. Cruising year around. Matter of fact, I'm leaving at 7 am for a cruise New Years Day.
Ah, the old "season change shuffle" ....gotta hate it. I mean, after all these years, I kinda have it down, but it doesn't make it any easier (mentally). I envy the SoCal/ Phoenix/ Florida guys for that one reason...they don't have to disrupt their lives to do all the transition ****ola. The only good to come out of it is that it forces one to clean the spaces that now have to house a vehicle for the winter. Here in the northeast, we've been having relatively mild weather with no snow & ice on the ground. I can't believe how much better I feel. It'll probably near 60 today, New Year's Day! And the best part is that I'll take the hot rod out & get the juices flowing. I have the spaces ready for the switch, but I'm not doing it until the day before the first storm.
