Very nice looking work. IS it powder coated or painted?

I think it's time for you to re***ess your priorities...and don't worry, the Customers will understand!!
    Right Dave??

Dirty31 - The frame and suspension parts are painted with Sims Rust-Shield. By itself the paint is a satin finish, but if you use the hardner, it bring's up the gloss depending on how much you use. I used it on a lot of the parts on my 33PU a couple of years ago and it's held up real good. I'm going to be using the same basic paint on the sedan body with some flatner in it an a different color.

Oh, The car is an early Buick (1916-1922) not exactly sure which year....similar to Z man's here on the Hamb, but I've cut the **** out of mine

Here are the stiches....narrowed it 8", shortened 5-1/2"

  7. Looks great.. Could you show some details of your rear kickup and suspension? Looks really beefy and cool.. Also like to see how you run your radius rods having the kickup so high..Good luck... your getting there!

once those springs settle in you may need to cut more out of your wheel wells. From what I have experianced springs tend to settle a couple of inches....doesn't look like that would leave much room for travel..

    Just a thought

HRD - With the full weight on the rear, there's still 3" of suspension travel up. That's more than enough from what I've found, but thanks.

No I didn't have gas, oil, or water in it, but everything else was there.
The nice thing is, coil overs and the suspension are adjustable. Have you ever used them, they are great for fine tuning the ride height.
If the body goes down far enough to contact the rear end, I will have all kinds of other problems to worry about. But again, thanks for your concern.

Does anybody here remember "The Orange Crate"...???

Was fearured on the cover of Hot Rod Magazine back in the 1960's...??? It was more of a show piece than a racer, although they ran it a lot out at Bakersfield in A/A.

Someone's got it up in Washington State...! They should paint it red and call it the "Apple Crate" now...!!!
