I'm am old fart, lifelong gearhead, and barely computer literate, but I'm thoroughly enjoying reading through some of the threads here. The sheer volume of posts and the knowledge on this board is overwhelming!
.......Welcome aboard from southern Wisconsin.......lots of old farts here...I'am one of them......good lookin 32....thank you for joining the H.A.M.B.
Thanks for the welcomes! I'm just outside Peoria. Saw a couple of cars last summer at Quincy with the H.A.M.B plates on the firewall and had to check the place out. Glad I did!
Welcome from Peoria, and hope you enjoy this site as much as I have. Great group of folks and very helpful with tech info here. Cheers!
Hi Daryl, my son who also lives in Peoria has '47 coupe. All original drive train so far. I'll try to post my first picture of his coupe here.
Hi Elmwood, a few of us from the Peoria/Brimfield area were at your strawberry festival show/cruise this past summer. Quite a few nice cars there.
Wow she looks really clean. What are his plans for it? Hopefully I'll see it this season at a few cruise nights!
He's eventually going with a small block, but that won't be for another year yet. The old 6 still runs good and the split manifold sounds good. Right now he's got the trans out and looking for a new second gear syncro ring. Know anybody who makes or has those?
I'll look around. I have a spare trans here but i'd rather not tear into it since it works. Let me do some snooping around and I'll PM you if I get any leads for your son. Cheers!
