Back in the late 1970's there were a bunch of nice swap meets, Kempton,Pa and Fairfield, N.J. in the winter early spring, are there any out there worth the 2+ hour drive? Happy New Year!
'37, I think the one in Allentown still exists, connected to Carlisle events. I went once, won't go again. It took longer to get there then to look at all the none car stuff.
Kempton still exists along with two at Leesport and two at the Hamburg fieldhouse. Like all swaps, it depends on who shows up and with what. Also the spring thing at Maple Grove can be real good once you get past the Mustang and Camaro stuff. Maybe somebody has dates and I'll check around to see what I can scare up. Usually people remind me that week what's going on. Anybody have dates? The Leesport thing is run by the Early Ford V-8 Club. Anybody a member? Also the Reading Expo Center usually has a three day event whichcan be OK. Mostly new part vendors though.
41st Annual SWAP MEET AND CAR CORRAL on SUNDAY, MARCH 25,2012- Rain or Shine SALEM COUNTRY Fair Grounds Located ¼ mile west of Cowtown 735 Route 40, Woodstown, NJ 08098 (5 miles west of Woodstown, NJ
I think there is one around Johnstown Pa. Don't know the particulars. From past it was in a fire hall, It was not big enough to drive far for, but just to relieve some cabin fever. Ago
Any updates??? We're heading into the seriously bleak part of winter, even a faint flicker of hope would be nice...
I heard the one in Leesport isn't going to happen this year, I believe it had something to do with insurance.
