This was my first New Years in my T. The weather was mid 60's and I put it to good use. Went on a 90+ mile jaunt around Houston. Felt...... great!

Every year on New Years, a bunch of us drive our cars from Torrance to the Busy Bee Restaurant in Ventura. However, going through Malibu, the fog was so thick, some of the guys decided that Malibu was far enough. We ended up having breakfast at Paradise Cove in Malibu. Many of the cars didn't have windshield wipers and had to stop constantly.

I took the '53 out yesterday. Short drive, about 35 degrees and foggy. I can't wait for spring here in northern Illinois.

I drove the 36 and the wife's 57 Ranchero but was home before dark. Around here I stay off the roads after dark on New Year's eve. I's far to sketchy out there.

We drove today. For the past seven years, our little car club has sponsored a cruise New Year's Day in the StL area to Ethyl's Roadhouse - a 1930's garage that is now a restaurant (could there be a better "car place" to go?). This year, about 127 old cars and more than 300 people showed up. Had lunch, gave away a lot of attendance prizes, talked about our projects, and started the new year right - with the hot rods!

  10. took the 54 out with the 2 kids in the back, to the burger joint, then to get milk. oh...in indiana where most are being stored for the winter by now.

Drove about 150 miles in the 49. Drove to Lane Automotive in Michigan to pick up a new tach. Hooked up the tach today and went around the block to test it out.

Yip, took the 50s survivior 5W out for a spin last night to the local get together, not many there so cruzed around for a while, went home, had a couple Barcardi and Cokes and listened to the illegal fireworks and went to bed!! Another year behind me!! Lots of driving to do this year, registered for Lone Star today and relaxed. Got a fresh Cad 390 for my 50 Merc last week and getting ready for the trans plant!! Have a FRANTIC FIRST!!! Davey

Took the Ranchero over to my oldest, best friend to let him take it for a spin on New Years Day. The night before I was getting overserved, so I was not behind the wheel! Plus I won $50 playing dice!!!!! It was a great night!:D

  26. Hank A. Monster - Dog and I took Crusty Cruiser #2 out for a spin to Home Depot, then round by XXX Root Beer. That just wasn't enough cruising, so we washed the windows today and off we went up the back roads to Redmond and back.

  27. Hank was pissed I didn't post his picture, so here ya go.

I was going to take mine out last night and go for a nice long New Year's Eve drive but my Son reminded me of all the drunks on the road and also the DUI checkpoints they set up on New Year's Eve. I did go out for a little while in my DD and there were cops everywhere. I didn't want to risk going through a checkpoint with a hot rod, so I waited until today and ran some errands in it, there was hardly any traffic so it was pretty cool.

Last thing I wanted last night was for some drunk to rearrange the back of my 27.
