My son and I are building a '66 C-10 for him to drive. (Build thread here http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/showthread.php?t=564083 ) Over the summer and fall we got the cab painted and wiring done, this weekend I got the last of the misc odds and ends for the dash, steering column, and doors primed and top coats painted. Just gotta run a red pinstripe around the borders and let the paint dry a little more and its time to put it all together in there. Here's pictures:

Here's the door panels. I'm using the white to break up all the black, plus it fits with the Tommy the Greek style scallops we want to put on the hood and dash.

Colors are Hot Rod Flatz Hot Rod Black and Cl***ic White. Eventually the outside will be painted Hot Rod Flatz Olive Green.

The steering wheel has a center cap and horn ring that were painted previously, its a wheel from a '66 Custom Cab. Also the same wheel they used on late 50's Biscaynes I think.

It all came out well considering the conditions (cold, dark, cramped and dusty!) Getting really close to being on the road now.

Cool! I had a 65 long bed fleet side. I put a tilt column, power steering, and painted the inside blue and outside primer gray. I love those year model trucks.

That wheel is not 66 custom cab. Yours is the older chevy truck deluxe wheel . Tough one to find if complete, nice score.

You're right, I forgot. I pulled it out of a '63 my neighbor was gonna s****. It is complete now, one of the guys on this board had the center cap and it had the horn ring with it. I'd never seen one in a truck before, I don't think many people sprang for the fancy stuff in pickups in the early 60's!
