Randy, is that one garage building per 32? plenty of room to stand back and admire what you have??

For me, I once again spent the time I had grinding and smoothing the block. About 10 more hours of metal work and it should be ready for primer and block sanding. Alot of work for a plain ol' Sedan.

I only got three tires mounted on my tire changer.......people kept stopping and I have a real problem of loving to talk about hotrods...

Well, I did get my old mechanical tire changer cleaned up and welded a few broken parts back up......I had to to mount my tires! :) I plan on mounting the 4th tomorrow, maybe balancing them on my fancy old bubble balancer. Then I'm gonna pull the flatty from the 35-40 frame and start establishing where my engine mounts should go in my roadster frame....

****, this asked what we got done, not the "I'm gonna do this and that" song and dance!

Painted the dash and installed the gagues in pop's tudor on Friday, still working on the glovebox door. Today I watched John Ford Man and Porkshop install a ****** in JFM's daily for a while. Fresno sure is exciting.

Frenched me some headlights on my '49 Olds. Worked on it, anyways. I laid the first coat of glaze and am looking forward to only putting a couple of more spots down on some oops-es. Also took my woman out camping on the scooter. Somethin' about sleepin' in the dirt just sets things a-right.

Figured out how to fix the cracks in my fathers 71' Big block Demon, did a little pinstriping, and thought about finishing fabricating my aluminum fuel cell. I only have a few holes to drill now...Its just been too humid today.

Finished fabbing a new cross member for the ****** making it 2 inches lower, and 2 inches further back, plus a lot stronger (K-member). Then I had to drill it...upside down with a hand drill through both the member and the frame. 6 holes, what a PITA that was. While the motor is out, I cleaned and painted the frame in front. Another messy PITA job. Glad that's done, the firewall and inner fenders are next.

  17. Went to Auburn Cruise night in the 34 3W Friday night with my Wife and Daughter. Saturday our club, Heads of Colfax, went to a Pig feed at a house near an old gold mining town called Yankee Jims. There was about 20 cars there. The home was built in 1851 and was once a bar and ***** house that served the gold miners. Most of the *****s were gone on Saturday. They'd be way old by now anyways. The host had a 34 tudor sedan bought in 1965 for 75.00. Nice orig Henry car that still had the factory pin stripping. He is also in the process of fitting a Hemi into a 34 3Window thats been around a while. Cool cars. Today was the Auburn Swap meet. I scored a 34 radiator, 34 gas tank cover, a cherry set of 34 front fenders and a 15.00 petal car body that wife wanted to plant flowers in...

    Its been a great weekend!

    I didnt do much:

Friday...got off early to go pickup the Fordor from my buddys shop for some weekend work. I want to put on the new front shoes, rebuild all of the wheel cyclinders and do a little lowering treatment on her.

Saturday...Started on the Fordor at about 9:30 am....Finished (after cleaning up) at about 1am. I did the brakes, painted all the backing plates, cleaned and painted all of the drums. Got 3" lowering blocks from my local "Dead"Zone parts house (Autozone). Got home, pulled the u-bols, 3 leafs on each side...which by the way I got "Leaf Slapped" in the forehead by one side because I wasnt paying any attention. It fricken hurt. For about an hour, I contemplated on doing the lower spring perch extension or cut spring(s) for the front....I opted to cut the springs, which I took out 1.25 coils....I had to get her on the ground to see the stance...im stoked....a nice 50's stance. Im really starting to like the Fordor.

Sunday - bled the brakes on the Fordor to find out I may have a pinched line on the p***enger front wheel...need to do some "troubleshooting" to narrow down the problem...no juice will squeeze out of the bleeder. :( Earlier in the day...got my pre-work "Joe" and a donut. Met up w/ 2xCrash at the shop to beat around on his 54 Plym. Cleaned up the new EZ wire kit under the dash and hood, wired up his hi/low beam floor switch, radiator fan, tested all of the lights..and we are golden! :) ...We got the trans cooler hooked up, new fuel line ran...battery tray for the trunk is made, and got to fire up the car; breath some life into the engine. It was cool  ....all we got left is the driveshaft to be made, bend the exhaust, hook up elec. fuel pump and wire in new guage cluster in (when I get it done) custom gauge floor mount....

here is a picture of the Fordor....this week Ill get my carb bases back from Suedesled (NW speed equipt) and Ill get to put on my 2x2 intake on the 8BA w/ some newly rebuild carbs....Cant wait...oh..and fix my brake issue too. I hope to take it to the Roadster show on Saturday.

The sideview shot of before I hacked it height...and the after shots in my driveway. :)

    Im tired.

Made rear shock brackets for the bucket. Gotta finish weld 'em and see if they hold. Used front shocks off my Caprice. Should take the fat-man's-*** ride out of it and make it not bottom out so much.

Woohoo! My first "what did you get done" reply!! oooOoOooo!

Anyway, I'm in the process of replacing the floors and trunk in my '49 Tudor. This weekend, I fabbed some bits of the floor frame from 1" square tubing and made some basic inner rockers and supports. I also cut the floors and toe boards and have new sheet metal ready to go that needs to be trimmed. Yipee
